The Filipino Nurses Society in Saudi Arabia (FILNASA) was established in 2000 as a professional nursing organization in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, accredited by the Philippine Nurses Association, Inc. (PNA) National Head Office in Manila, Philippines. It serves as the International Chapter of the PNA in Riyadh, uniting Filipino nurses across the Kingdom under one professional and service-oriented banner.
FILNASA’s beginnings trace back to the vision and determination of Dr. Alina N. Articulo, the Founder and President Emeritus. Recognizing the need for a formal body to represent Filipino nurses abroad, Dr. Articulo brought together a pioneering group of healthcare professionals to create an organization that promotes professional development, protects the welfare of nurses, and fosters camaraderie among its members.
Over the years, FILNASA has championed initiatives such as continuing education programs, skills-enhancement workshops, health awareness campaigns, and community outreach services — all designed to uplift the standards of nursing practice and extend healthcare support to those in need. Through networking events and solidarity activities, the organization has built a strong sense of belonging among Filipino nurses working far from home.
